Ek Dua

Mere Maula, Teri rehmat ki bheek maangte hain hum
Meherbaan koi na Tujhsa hai yeh bhi jaante hain hum

Ek bas Tu hi sunne wala hai fariyaad toote hue dil ki
Jhukaya sar jo sajde main, ho gayin ye aankhen nam

Khushi main bhool jaate hain, mile lekin jo ghum koi
Daaman phaila kar Tere dar par chale aate hain hum

Suna hai bin maange milta hai Darbaar-e-Ilaahi main
Kaise jaayenge bhala ho ke maayoos tere ghar se hum

Kahan jaayen tere bande na ho Tu yoon khafa humse
Naadim hain gunahon par, tu karde ab hum pe karam

A devotional poem by Talat. Simple poem showing that poetess believe in existence of the God, the Almighty. Also saying that we human never remember God when it is good time but in hard days of life we turn to God then.

Poem is full of devotion, simple and with appropriate wordings.
